You’re Invited to An Empowering Presentation
We warmly invite our campus community, as well as anyone interested in learning about resilience and running an Iowa business, to hear a truly special presentation by our second distinguished alumni award recipient, Kori Heuss. Kori Heuss owns and leads Heuss Printing in Ames, as well as numerous other businesses. Kori will share her experiences and wisdom in her special presentation Diary of an Entrepreneur: The Need for Resiliency When Running an Iowa Small Business. Life is full of challenges requiring resiliency. Roadblocks often arise, calling on us to rise to the challenge. Come learn from and be inspired by Kori, who has persevered and led her multiple businesses to tremendous success — locally, nationally and internationally.
Kori’s distinguished lecture will be delivered in the Memorial Union, Room 2630, on Wednesday, October 22, at 6:00 pm. This room, on the west side of the Union, bears a quote above it saying: “We come to college not alone to prepare to make a living, but to learn to live a life.” Kori will share lots of life lessons and wisdom during this featured presentation.
The following evening, Kori will be presented her distinguished alumna award at the LAS Alumni Honors and Awards Ceremony. Kori’s lecture is sponsored by The Communication Studies Program, LAS Start Something Academy and the ISU Committee on Lectures (funded by Student Government).
