    Communication Studies Learning Community

    The Communication Studies Learning Community serves first-year and transfer students who are new to Iowa State and to the Communication Studies Program. Our Learning Community was developed to help students connect with other students in their major and identify campus resources that can help them be successful. The Communication Studies Learning Community is tied to the Communication Studies 104 Orientation course as well as Introduction to Communication Studies (ComSt 1010).

    Communication Studies Club

    Getting involved in the Communication Studies Club is a great way to connect with colleagues and have fun! In meetings you get access to important information about classes, careers, internships and resume writing. Club members also do several philanthropy projects throughout the year. Communication Studies Club also hosts fun social events. If you want to meet other majors, get some added experience for your resume and have fun join the Communication Studies Club!

    Start Something in LAS

    The Start Something LAS Academy, part of the ISU Start Something network, provides hands-on learning experiences for students interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. As an academy member you’ll build community with other innovators as you become a changemaker for the world around you.

LAS Ambassadors

The LAS Student Ambassadors represent the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences by assisting with prospective students and their parents during Experience Iowa State Visits and daily Open Option campus visits. In addition to helping prospective students learn about their options and opportunities, ambassadors broaden their knowledge about the university while enhancing their leadership skills.
